About The Position
The Security Guard position at Securatech in Dearborn, Michigan, is a critical role focused on maintaining the safety and security of the premises, employees, visitors, and property. The Security Guard will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling the assigned area to prevent unauthorized access and respond to incidents effectively. This role serves as a visible deterrent to crime, ensuring that all individuals on the property feel safe and secure. The Security Guard will be expected to conduct regular patrols, monitor security cameras and alarm systems, and manage access to the building by checking identification and ensuring that only authorized personnel are allowed entry. In addition to monitoring and access control, the Security Guard will be required to respond to alarms, emergencies, or other incidents, taking appropriate action to resolve or mitigate risks. This includes documenting and reporting any security-related incidents, accidents, or suspicious activities to ensure that all occurrences are properly recorded and addressed. Customer service is also a key component of this role, as the Security Guard will assist visitors and employees with directions and information, providing a welcoming presence that enhances the overall experience of those on the premises. The Security Guard will enforce company policies and procedures, as well as local laws and regulations, ensuring compliance at all times. In emergency situations, the Security Guard will assist in coordinating response activities, including evacuations and administering first aid if necessary. Additionally, the Security Guard will be proactive in identifying potential security risks and taking preventive measures to avert incidents before they occur. This multifaceted role requires vigilance, strong communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe environment for all.
