  • Maintain a secure environment for all residents and associates within the building and on the community grounds.
  • Greet visitors and monitor the inside and outside of the building, responding to emergencies as needed.
  • Log all residents and visitors in and out of the building.
  • Monitor the parking lot and report any abnormal findings to the Executive Director or proper authorities.
  • Lock doors at designated times according to community protocol and check the security of all doors regularly throughout the night.
  • Maintain familiarity with and monitor all emergency and safety equipment including security cameras and life safety systems.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies by contacting appropriate internal and external parties.
  • Assist with disaster management efforts and activities during evacuations.
  • Answer the phone promptly and respond to questions or take messages as appropriate.
  • Escort residents and visitors to the parking lot during evening hours as requested.
  • Handle leasing inquiries after hours and on weekends as needed.
  • Drive the bus or community vehicle as scheduled.
  • Handle minor maintenance emergencies as needed.
  • Ensure the lobby and administrative offices are clean and neat, notifying housekeeping if cleaning is needed.
  • Interact with residents and guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required.
  • One to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Fire Safety and Basic CPR/First Aid training.
  • Valid driver's license for positions requiring travel or transportation of residents.
