The Security Guard at Limex Sicar Farms is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the premises, personnel, and visitors. This role involves patrolling the property, monitoring surveillance equipment, and responding to emergencies. The ideal candidate will work under general supervision and report to a security lead and HR manager, contributing to the overall security team effort.

  • Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property and monitoring surveillance equipment.
  • Inspect buildings, equipment, and access points; permit entry and allow exit to trailers.
  • Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities and informing violators of policy and procedures.
  • Control traffic in the yard by directing inbound and outbound drivers.
  • Use a scale system for inbound and outbound loads and audit outbound loads vs paperwork.
  • Maintain good communication with the company's shipping & receiving and logistics teams.
  • Validate inbound loads seals vs paperwork and assign seals to outbound loads.
  • Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
  • Maintain a safe and secured environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements to maintain the organization's stability and reputation.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to emergency situations as needed.
  • Protect the company's assets relative to theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues.
  • Follow procedures for fire prevention, patrolling premises, traffic control, and accident investigations.
  • Report suspicious activity, criminal behavior, and security breaches to security lead and HR manager.
  • Ensure operation of security equipment and surveillance cameras by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
  • Remain in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year or more experience in security or a related field.
  • Familiarity with standard security concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to follow complex instructions and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic security and fire inspection procedures.
  • Dependability and integrity in performing duties.
  • Experience with surveillance equipment and security systems.
