About The Position
The Security Guard serves as the gatekeeper for all visitors, vendors, and trucks entering and exiting the Company’s property. This role involves checking the operation of refrigerated trucks, completing incoming and outgoing trucking paperwork, and assisting with plant protocols for emergency situations as requested. Requirements
- Ability to read and write English and complete required logs
- Ability to communicate, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization, strong attention to detail and the ability to resolve issues efficiently and effectively

Responsibilities
- Control access of staff, visitors, and trucks entering the property to ensure entry to those authorized are allowed to enter; verify all visitors obtaining approval from appropriate personnel
- Review and log inspection paperwork for incoming and outgoing trucks, direct traffic and coordinate routes with appropriate personnel while truck on property ensuring trucks route to specified areas according to cargo carried (live animals or supplies)
- Inspect all refrigerated trailers on WF property during off peak staff hours to ensure they are operating and fueled appropriately
- Report any issues/ discrepancies with logs, trucks, etc. to appropriate personnel as they arise
- Assist with all plant emergency protocols as needed
- Follow all safety protocols including wearing required personal protective equipment in areas where mandatory to support a zero accident culture
- Perform additional relevant duties as assigned
