As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to requests, and document observations with clear communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, access concerns, and requests for assistance.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of corridors, waiting areas, entrances, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas, verify identification and/or visitor authorization when required, and direct individuals to appropriate destinations in accordance with site procedures.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and notable observations in required logs and reports, and communicate updates to onsite staff and/or Allied Universal supervision.
