Now Hiring Full Time Security Officers! Working in conjunction with a Metropolitan Transit Task Force and our client security teams. MetroLink security professionals provide safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system, station platforms throughout the Greater St. Louis region. Customer service skills are a high priority. This is an outdoor posted position. Duties will include post security until relieved.

Requirements

  • Ability to Lift 20+ Pounds
  • 1 year Security Experience
  • Computer Literacy
  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Perform unarmed patrol duties by conducting regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Control access points by verifying identification, screening visitors, and directing foot and vehicle traffic according to site procedures.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems, and document unusual conditions or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and request assistance from public services and/or site management when needed.
  • Complete detailed reports of daily activity, incidents, and maintenance concerns, and communicate key information during shift turnover.
  • Support facility operations by observing for hazards, suspicious behavior, and policy noncompliance, and reporting findings through the appropriate chain of command.
  • Interact professionally with the public and employees, providing directions and answering questions while maintaining a visible, customer-focused presence.
