Weekly Pay! DailyPay! As a Security Officer - Corrections Facility Unarmed in West Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Corrections, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a corrections location, you will actively monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment. Your visible presence and routine patrols play a vital role in maintaining order, while you provide exceptional customer service and clear communication to all individuals on site. Requirements
- Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergencies and/or incidents as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols within the corrections facility and around its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and report any unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain order within the facility.
- Document observations, incidents, and occurrences in a clear and timely manner according to site protocols.
- Respond to critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and guidelines.
- Interact professionally with staff, visitors, and/or detainees, providing information and assistance as needed while upholding security-related standards.
- Report maintenance or facility issues observed during patrols to the appropriate personnel.
