About The Position
As a Security Guard, you play a key role in creating a safe and welcoming environment for both customers and employees. Your day begins with a visible patrol of the store to establish a secure presence. You actively monitor activity through direct observation and surveillance systems, helping to deter theft and ensure safety. While your approach is hands-off, you will respond to incidents calmly and in accordance with established procedures. This role emphasizes prevention, clear communication, and professionalism, while supporting store leadership in maintaining a secure and respectful atmosphere.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in security or asset protection.
- Familiarity with security management systems and CCTV.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong judgment and discretion in handling sensitive situations.
- Must pass background check and drug screening.
Responsibilities
- Monitor building access and ensure compliance with security procedures.
- Operate and monitor security systems including CCTV and access control.
- Operate and monitor Gate Keeper system.
- Support patrols of facilities and grounds, reporting any suspicious activity or maintenance issues.
- Provide escorts for associates and customers if needed.
- Respond to emergencies and support crisis response efforts.
- Assist with parking lot safety.
- Liaise with local law enforcement and fire departments during incidents.
- May support HR with investigations and termination procedures by providing access records.
- Maintain and clean security vehicles and any other company issued equipment.
