About The Position

The Security Guard position is responsible for the protection, safeguarding, and security of personnel, visitors, and property at the assigned site. Duties include monitoring access, conducting routine patrols, guiding and controlling traffic, providing safe pedestrian crossings, and assisting visitors. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum six (6) months of experience working with the public or in a customer-facing role.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Alaska Security Guard license.
  • Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR certification within required timeframes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and interact professionally with the public.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and security procedures.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine patrols of assigned areas to deter, detect, and report safety or security concerns.
  • Monitor and control pedestrian and vehicular traffic to ensure safe site operations.
  • Enforce site rules and security procedures and address unauthorized access as needed.
  • Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies, including notifying emergency responders.
  • Complete required reports and documentation related to incidents or site activity.
  • Provide assistance and information to visitors and staff.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
