About The Position

Brown & Root is looking for a Security/Traffic Clerk for its Magnolia, AR location.  This person is responsible for accurate real time transactional activities related to shipping outbound and receiving inbound materials into our SAP system.  This includes the associated activities outside of SAP to ensure the accuracy of the data and legal requirements of DOT.  Because of the wide variety from which data flows it is imperative that the person filling this role have good interpersonal skills in dealing with a diversified group of end users and coworkers across various departments and outside Albemarle carriers.

Requirements

  • Experience with any of the following: Excel, SAP, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook,
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks routinely
  • Capable of developing relationships with a wide variety of individuals
  • Safety oriented person
  • DOT certification or ability to pass such course

Nice To Haves

  • SAP experience Inventory Movements
  • Minimum 1 years of experience in Security or Shipping processes
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Shipping/DOT background
  • Able to interface with multiple personalities in a consistent, professional manner
  • Strong motivational skills

Responsibilities

  • Weighing Inbound/Outbound finished goods & Raw materials
  • Organization of shipping paperwork including clean sheets provided by carriers making data readily available for loaders and traffic.
  • Transactional key punch data entry into SAP for Outbounds and Inbounds to match actuals based off weights or paperwork depending on commodity.
  • Pre Load and Post Load checks for Security responsible sections on Load sheet
  • Timely update to Plant Shipping Calendar for actuals in Sharepoint
  • Perform shift Daily department self audit to ensure SAP matches physical
  • Printing/Re-printing of Shipping Paperwork as needed to accommodate changes
  • Accountability for after hour stores access and issuing of goods
  • Inventory/Tracking of dropped containers for pre-loads
  • Be the Voice of Traffic for after hours questions and ability to judge who
  • Security Guards must make sure that all contractors have an ISN number and a C-Stop number before being allowed to do any kind of work on the plant-site.
  • Security Guards must make sure that all contractors that receive a pass to enter the plant-site, return that pass at the end of the day.
  • Security Guards must make sure that all new employees, contractors, visitors, and truck drivers watch the safety video before they are allowed to enter the plant-site. The Security guards will enter the driver training into the database.
  • Security Guards must make sure that contractors and employees that enter the plant-site have their seatbelts on and abide the speed limit signs on the plant-site.
  • Security Guards must make sure that contractors and employees always turn off their engines in their vehicles if they are not inside of it while checking in at Security.
  • Security Guards must fill out the weather sheet every two hours.
  • Security Guards must fill out a daily manpower report at the end of their shift every day.
  • Security Guards must check the weekly practice plant alarm sheet and call “whoever” on the date that shows and let them know about the alarm every Wednesday.
  • Security Guards must check in all box trucks including Gulf Winds and Transvac drivers with the warehouse to coordinate which loads they are taking out and picking up.
  • Security Guards must keep they North and South Railroad gates closed unless the railroad crew calls and ask to open the railroad gates.
  • Security Guards must coordinate with the KAG shuttle drivers and Bromine to make sure all empty bromine trailers get over to the West Plant to be loaded every day.
  • Security Guards must make all alarm announces once an employee sounds the alarm and calls Security of a particular issue that is happening within a plant or an area within a plant.
  • Security Guards must answer all phones calls that come to the South Plant and West Plant and direct the individuals who are calling to the correct people that they need to talk to.
  • Security Guards must make sure that maintenance personnel sing in and out the stores after hours key. Security Guards also must make sure that maintenance personnel have a pick ticket or receipt of all items that they acquired from stores.
  • Security Guards must do all Callouts for the South Plant and the West Plant. This includes calling out Maintenance, E&I, Welders, PM/PD Techs, Process Comp Techs, Refrigerator Techs, BF Mtce, BF E&I, Hydro-Chemical, and Petrin personnel.
  • Security guards must perform Vehicle / Lunchbox Inspections.
  • Security guards must perform Monthly Perimeter walks at the South and West plants and communicate to the Security Supervisor on the findings of the perimeter walk.
  • Issue, Terminate or place hold on access badges.
  • Immediately report to supervisor and alb hse in case of any emergency.
  • Stop gate traffic as needed for plant alarms or emergencies.
  • Communicate with local authorities timely, clearly, and accurately as needed.
  • Immediately report any suspicious, agitated, or questionable behavior or situations to supervision.
  • Log shift activities and communicate thoroughly with shift change.
  • Verify TWIC or HazMat Driver’s License. (Guards will have to be trained on how to verify the TWIC cards.)
  • Log Non-Nested contractors in the TSDB before entry.
  • More Cameras are being added to be watched for unloading areas and electronic gates.
