As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors through strong communication, quick reporting, and service-focused interactions. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, hospital site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of corridors, lobbies, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, suspicious activity, and medical facility alerts, and notify appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Control access at designated points by monitoring entrances, verifying authorization when required, and directing visitors to the appropriate locations.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and observations in reports and logs, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
