Job Description As a Security Guard - Government Center - Full Time in Brooklyn, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with the public and provide exceptional customer service, while supporting a secure environment. Requirements
- A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Observe and report any suspicious behavior or incidents as per Allied Universal protocols.
- Assist visitors and employees with directions and general inquiries while maintaining a professional presence.
- Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and to maintain order within the location.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when required.
- Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs as required by Allied Universal.
