About The Position

Ensure the safety and security of people, property, and assets at assigned location. Responsible for maintaining a secure environment by monitoring for potential threats, responding to emergencies, and enforcing rules and regulations. Schedule: SUN - WED 3 PM to 3 AM WED - SAT 3 PM 3 AM

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
2+ years of previous experience preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
Strong multi-tasking capabilities and organizational skills.
Works effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to stay calm in stressful situations.
Ability to work with law enforcement agencies as necessary.
Basic experience in Microsoft Office products.
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
Ability to sit/stand/walk for extended periods.
Requires working in seasonal hot and cold temperatures and exposure to dust and chemical fumes.

Responsibilities

Patrols premises, both on foot and using security vehicles, to deter and detect any unauthorized activity.
Uses various surveillance tools, such as cameras and monitoring systems, to keep an eye on activities within the facility.
Identifies suspicious behavior, potential threats, and violations of security protocols and recommends improvements to enhance security measures.
Checks identification, searches bags, and ensures that only authorized personnel enter restricted areas to prevent potential security threats.
Responds to emergencies such as fires, medical incidents, and security breaches and coordinates with other agencies during critical situations.
Uses de-escalation techniques to defuse tense situations and maintain a safe environment.
Documents incidents, suspicious activities, and other relevant information in detailed reports.
Responds to alarms triggered by security systems and investigates the cause of the alarm and takes appropriate actions.
Provides customer service by assisting visitors, giving directions, and providing information about the facility's rules and regulations.
Maintains and ensures the proper functioning of security equipment, such as cameras, alarms, and access control systems.
Escorts individuals off premises when necessary.
