As a Security Guard - Utilities Site - Overnight Shift in Madison, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned utility locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with visitors and staff, and provide exceptional customer service. This position requires driving as part of your daily responsibilities. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
- Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns within the utilities environment.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members regarding security-related matters.
- Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, patrols, and any security-related observations.
- Follow all Allied Universal and client procedures while on post, adapting to the unique requirements of the utilities location.
