This posting is to build the hiring pool for the Secuity Guard position at Nucor Tubular Products Decatur. Our team demonstrates a firm commitment to taking care of our customers and a strong belief in work-life balance to maintain a safe, positive, and engaging environment. This role is designed as a short-term position. The teammate must remain in the position for at least six months before becoming eligible to apply for a Production role. During this six-month period, the teammate will be expected to cross-train in Production to ensure they are prepared to transition into a Production position when eligible.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be able to work 12 hour rotating shifts, nights, and holidays.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with all rules, regulations, and company guidelines regarding the safety of visitors and carriers coming on and leaving our facility.
Communication and coordination with other departments relating to deliveries and visitor appointments.
Communication with loading and receiving crews for timely coordination of incoming and outgoing loads.
