About The Position

A Security Guard, or Security Officer, is responsible for protecting a person, organization, or asset in the case of an incident. Their duties include monitoring a specific area, evicting trespassers, and writing reports detailing any occurrences during their shift.

Requirements

Must have NM Level 1or 2 security guard card (Training Class - available)
Good driving record if approved for Patrol officer
Flexible and Dependable
Good customer service and professionalism
Familiarity with security equipment
Excellent Communication
Strong attention to detail
Ability to use cell phone to do reports
Ability to remain calm under stress
Ability to work with the public in a professional manner
Must have a reliable vehicle

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or other related fields is a plus

Responsibilities

Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security
Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
Expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes
Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations
Using company software for report writing during surveillance/patrol of property
