About The Position

This position exists to protect life and property of all persons on hospital premises and to police hospital grounds to prevent fire, theft, and vandalism. To ensure boilers are attended on a regular basis and logged in on a timely manner.

Requirements

Must be a least 21 years old.
High School graduate or equivalent.
Must be capable of handling a firearm and obtaining a commissioned Security Officer license.
Will be required to obtain a high pressure boiler license after 6 months of on the job training.
Good verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with patients, staff, visitors, and administration.
Must be able to sit occasionally, frequent (50 – 60%) standing/walking, bending and stooping, lifting up to 100 pounds, carrying (weight of object carried not to exceed 50 pounds).
Must be able to do occasional pushing/pulling, twisting/turning, crouching/stooping and kneeling.
Handling/Manual dexterity – gross motor skills are necessary as well as talking/hearing/seeing is mandatory for performance of this position.
Physical requirement testing conducted semi-annually (push-ups, sit-ups, stair run and ¼ mile).
