Job Description As a Security Officer - Hospital in Erie, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves interacting with staff, patients, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication.   • Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within the healthcare location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns within the assigned location.
  • Assist visitors, patients, and staff with directions and general inquiries while maintaining a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and/or local law enforcement as needed during incidents or emergencies.
  • Document incidents and maintain accurate records in accordance with site and Allied Universal protocols.
  • Vaccinations are required for work in hospital settings.
  • Work may involve duties in the hospital morgue.
  • Ability to restrain individuals in a hospital environment is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
