About The Position

The Security Officer inspects, monitors, controls, and patrols work sites, an assigned facility, and/or people, and may be expected to collect and complete paperwork. Maintains security at all hospital outlets. May conduct safety inspections. The position relies on guidelines and some experience and judgment to complete job and works under general supervision.

Requirements

No experience required; OR 2 years of experience in the field or related area
Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent
Interpersonal & human relations skills
Oral & written communication skills

Responsibilities

Inspects, monitors, controls, and patrols work sites, an assigned facility, and/or people
Collect and complete paperwork
Maintains security at all hospital outlets
Conduct safety inspections
Keep daily reports accurate and neat
Checks equipment to ensure safety
Understands the access control system
Carries out assignments as directed
Demonstrates an understanding of policy and procedures
Treats confidential information appropriately
Regularly reports security incidents to supervisor
Handles emergency/crisis situations appropriately
Demonstrates correct behavior when dealing with violent or potentially violent circumstances
Assists others when necessary
Demonstrates a consistent level of performance
Enforces rules of the organization with pleasant attitude
Supports the Mission and Values of OLOL
Other Duties as Assigned
