Job Description As a Security Officer - Healthcare Access Desk in Beech Island, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Allied Universal team member in an access control role within a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Requirements
- At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Control access to the location by verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized individuals in accordance with site-specific policies.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors by answering questions and assisting with directions within the healthcare environment.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Assist with emergency response activities as needed, including alerting appropriate personnel and guiding individuals to designated areas.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare facility and its perimeter to observe and report any security-related concerns or irregularities.
- Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities in daily logs and/or reports as required by Allied Universal and site procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff and law enforcement when necessary to address security-related matters or emergencies.
