The primary responsibilities of a Guard are to protect company assets, ensure the safety of personnel and visitors, and support continuity of operations. Duties include monitoring access, preventing theft or vandalism, and responding to emergencies to reduce risk and operational disruption. The role requires the ability to walk on uneven terrain, move through warehouse areas, stand, sit, and walk for extended periods and distances, and lift or move objects as necessary during inspections or emergency situations. Security guards operate across the entire facility, including: Guard shacks (e.g., verifying paperwork, scanning bills of lading, assigning yard spots), Warehouse perimeters and entry points (e.g., controlling access, checking IDs, logging visitors), Interior zones (e.g., monitoring surveillance systems, inspecting equipment and safety hazards), and Emergency response coordination (e.g., assisting in fire control protocols, refrigeration alarms, or safety incidents).
