This role provides full-scope, hands on serving functions within the community. A cooperative and courteous attitude is essential in working with residents, family members, co-workers, vendors, etc. Job description The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all residents, visitors, staff and protecting Community property. Responsible for verifying the scheduled presence of all employees, and third-party contractors on the grounds.

Responsibilities

  • Makes scheduled rounds both inside and outside the buildings to maintain a secure environment for residents and their property as well as company property.
  • Responds to all fire alarms and apartment emergency calls.
  • Attends in-service training and education session, as assigned.
  • Assist with appropriate snow shoveling as needed.
  • Ability to work with and combine efforts of other staff members, and occasionally residents, as situations arise.
  • Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
  • Accomplishes all work in the order of priority set by supervisor.
  • Assist with screening staff and visitors as needed, help deliver resident/staff packages as needed.
  • Observe and report suspicious activity to Police or other Law Enforcement authority.
