As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support store teams and guests with courteous assistance. Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to guests and store teams by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a retail location.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout sales floors, common areas, back-of-house spaces, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter theft, trespassing, and other prohibited activity.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, medical events, and/or fire or intrusion alarms, and request additional assistance when needed.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, observe for suspicious behavior, and complete detailed reports for security-related incidents, hazards, and/or policy violations.
- Support opening and closing routines as assigned, including checking doors and gates, verifying restricted areas remain controlled, and coordinating with management and/or local authorities as needed.
