As a Security Guard - Logistics Dock Screener in Hagerstown, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal in a logistics and distribution environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. Your focus will be on conducting routine patrols, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining clear communication with visitors and team members. Requirements

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out security-related screening procedures for all personnel and/or vehicles entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and contractors with site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or exit.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed logs and reports of screening activities, incidents, and observations.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management to address any security-related concerns or emergencies.
