About The Position

As a Security Guard - Walking Patrol in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will assist staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication, strong customer service, and timely reporting of concerns. Requirements

• Have 1+ years of security experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and timely notification to site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor direction and wayfinding, and report maintenance hazards, disruptions, and/or policy concerns through established channels.
• Complete detailed security-related reports and documentation for incidents, patrols, and noteworthy observations, and communicate updates during shift handoff.
