About The Position

As a Security Guard - Utilities Vehicle Driver in Nederland, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned utility locations, focusing on access control to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with access control procedures by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points at the utility location.
  • Help to deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas through attentive observation and reporting of any suspicious activity.
  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by addressing inquiries and directing them as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help maintain a security-related presence and identify potential issues.
  • Follow site-specific policies and procedures, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and irregularities as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
