As a Patrol Officer in a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Your visible presence and routine patrols will contribute to a positive atmosphere while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your patrol duties.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.
• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the utility location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
• Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal team members and client representatives as required.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or observations as directed by site procedures.
• Follow all site-specific protocols and instructions provided during training and by site management.
