As an Allied Universal team member in a utilities location, you will focus on access control responsibilities, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a welcoming presence. Your role involves monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and interacting with visitors and personnel to support a secure environment. Requirements

  • A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in controlling access to the location by verifying credentials and authorizations of individuals entering the premises.
  • Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity.
  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to observe and report any irregularities or security-related concerns.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site policies.
  • Communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and site representatives regarding any security-related matters or emergencies.
