About The Position

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol in Fishersville, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will greet staff, patients, and visitors with professionalism, communicate clearly, and document observations to support the care environment. Requirements

• Provide proof of high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and promptly notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or suspicious conditions.
• Monitor access points and report unauthorized entry attempts, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations according to post orders.
• Complete required documentation such as incident reports, patrol logs, and/or shift activity reports, and communicate observations during shift briefings or handoffs.
