About The Position

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Government Facility in Brooklyn, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. Requirements

A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the government location.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any irregularities.
Observe and report security-related incidents or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned location to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide assistance as needed.
Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members while representing Allied Universal.
