As a Security Guard - Unarmed State Agency Patrol in Brooklyn, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a government environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will interact with the public and respond to situations as needed, all while providing excellent customer service and communication. Requirements

A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual conditions.
Monitor for any suspicious activities or hazards and report findings according to established protocols.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while on patrol.
Follow all instructions and guidelines provided by Allied Universal and site management.
Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner as part of daily responsibilities.
