As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol a shelter location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence for residents and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the facility, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication while upholding our core values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies at the shelter location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shelter facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or incidents according to Allied Universal protocols.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized individuals and provide reassurance to staff, residents, and visitors.
Communicate professionally with shelter staff, residents, and visitors, addressing questions and/or concerns as needed.
Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
