Job Description As a Security Guard - Unarmed Screener in Lakeland, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a fast-paced tech location, you will spend much of your shift driving and conducting routine patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes. You will remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors. Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Control access points by verifying identification, issuing visitor passes, and directing deliveries and/or contractors in accordance with post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting additional assistance from Allied Universal supervision and/or public services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor alarms and/or video systems where assigned, document observations and incidents, and complete shift reports and notifications per site policy.
