About The Position

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Roving Patrol in West Hollywood, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service through clear communication. This role may include extended bicycle patrols and routine foot rounds, responding to concerns and reporting observations. Requirements

  • Be able to ride a bike.
  • Be able to lift more than 20 lbs preferred.
  • Be able to ride a bike for long periods of time preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site visitors and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies, including directing individuals to appropriate resources when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior and exterior areas, including public-facing spaces, entry points, and perimeter routes, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and surrounding areas, observing for suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations, and take appropriate action within post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services when required and providing clear information to responding personnel.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and observations in detailed written reports and/or activity logs, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.
