As a Security Guard - Unarmed Rover Patrol in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will complete routine patrols of buildings and grounds, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and calls for service. You will greet tenants and visitors, document activity, and share clear updates with site contacts. Requirements

• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have a guard card and/or license preferred.
• Have alarm panel experience preferred.
• Have customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial property, including lobbies, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity as directed by post orders, including observing deliveries and service providers for unusual conditions and/or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with property management and/or local emergency services as needed.
• Complete required security-related documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift handoff notes, and communicate notable observations to the next shift and/or site leadership.
