About The Position

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Rover Patrol in Mahwah, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an automotive location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. Requirements

• Have at least 2+ years of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• This is primarily a driving post.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an automotive location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance and operational concerns.
• Monitor access points and control entry for employees, visitors, and contractors by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing traffic flow as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical events, alarms, and/or suspicious activity, and request assistance from local responders when appropriate.
• Complete timely written reports and electronic logs, document incidents and observations, and communicate site updates to Allied Universal leadership and client contacts.
