About The Position

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Rover Driver in Richmond, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will conduct driving patrols as needed, document observations, respond to requests, and provide strong customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required to meet client requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of utility facilities, buildings, substations, parking areas and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and perform visitor, contractor and delivery check-in, including verifying identification, issuing site credentials as directed and directing individuals to the appropriate location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, assisting with incident scene control and supporting arriving responders as directed by site procedures.
  • Complete detailed written reports and logs of patrol activity, incidents, maintenance concerns and policy violations, and communicate key information to site management and Allied Universal supervision.
