About The Position

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Rover Driver in Malvern, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal at a financial institution location as an armed patrol officer in a driving post. You will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, control access, and respond to alarms and service calls with clear communication and customer-focused professionalism. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Have Act 235 qualification in Pennsylvania only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points, screening areas, and controlled-entry doors; verify authorization for employees, visitors, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with post orders.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; coordinate with site leadership and/or local law enforcement when escalation is required.
  • Complete detailed reports on patrol activities, incidents, and unusual conditions; communicate observations to appropriate personnel and participate in required briefings and training.
