About The Position

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors with clear communication and helpful customer service. You will document observations, respond to incidents, and work closely with site teams. Requirements

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an educational campus location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate campus resources and/or public emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and common areas during patrols, reporting hazards, suspicious behavior, and/or maintenance concerns through required documentation and notification channels.
• Complete detailed daily activity reports and incident reports, communicate post updates during shift transitions, and support campus events with traffic direction and/or crowd management as assigned.
