Job Description As a Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol in Wilmington, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, engage with staff and visitors, and deliver exceptional customer service while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. Requirements

Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter potential issues and identify security-related concerns.
Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related matters to the appropriate personnel.
Support access control procedures and monitor entry/exit points as required by site-specific protocols.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized activities within the location.
Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site guidelines.
