About The Position

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine foot patrols, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge processes, assist visitors and associates, and communicate clearly with site teams. Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the building, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Control access at entrances and shipping and receiving areas by checking identification, managing visitor and driver check-in, and verifying deliveries and pickups per site procedures.
• Complete daily activity reports and incident reports, communicate noteworthy observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership, and assist with security-related administrative tasks as assigned.
