About The Position

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol State Facility in Staten Island, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate protocols and communication.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and promote a secure environment.
Maintain detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences as required by site protocols.
Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or the public while representing Allied Universal at the location.
Assist with access control measures and monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access.
Remain alert to any potential security-related issues or hazards within the location and promptly report them according to established procedures.
