Job Description As a Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol Officer in Culver City, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication, quick assistance, and professional customer service, while documenting observations using site technology. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 1 year of security-related experience.
  • The client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of corridors, lobbies, parking areas, and the property perimeter, checking for unusual activity, unsecured doors, and other conditions that may help to deter incidents.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, access concerns, and requests for assistance from staff.
  • Control access to restricted areas by verifying identification and/or authorization, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and assisting with visitor management as assigned.
  • Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and observations, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership as required.
