About The Position

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol Driver in Fort Wayne, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic jobsite environment. You will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, assist with access control and badge checks, and deliver standout customer service through clear communication and quick reporting. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, and you will bring our agile, reliable, innovative, people-first, integrity-driven teamwork to every shift.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of security experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, vendors, and/or visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an active project location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and reporting concerns per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the project site, surrounding areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or unsafe work area entry.
  • Control access points by monitoring entrances and exits, checking identification and/or credentials as required, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in processes.
  • Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, communicate with Allied Universal supervision and site contacts, and support other security-related duties as assigned.
