About The Position
As a Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol Driver in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a tech and telecom location, where you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist with access control and visitor interactions. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state, with opportunities to use clear communication, teamwork, and integrity while delivering reliable, people-first service.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Be able to lift up to 20 lbs preferred.
- Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the chain of command as required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, lobbies, parking areas, and the perimeter of a technology and telecommunications location, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
- Help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials when required, and reporting irregularities.
- Complete shift documentation including patrol logs, incident reports, and activity summaries, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and/or site contacts.
