About The Position

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a dynamic tech-focused location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents while providing an approachable presence. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, interacting with staff and visitors, and delivering outstanding customer service. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or other unwanted behavior.
  • Observe and report any unusual conditions, incidents, or activities to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client representatives.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned area to help to deter potential issues.
  • Follow all post orders and site-specific instructions while adapting to the unique environment of a technology, media, or telecom setting.
  • Support access control procedures, verifying credentials as required and monitoring entry and exit points.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly.
