About The Position

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol and Badging in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access points, observe and report unusual activity, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering a welcoming customer experience. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal protocols, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a financial services location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate contacts and completing required reports.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, entry points, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access control points, verify identification as required, and assist with visitor management procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Document security-related activities such as patrol findings, incidents, and unusual conditions using logs and/or reporting tools as directed.
