About The Position

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Night Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help to reduce security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors, document observations, and respond to concerns with calm customer service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to the location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a logistics and distribution environment.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance issues to report.
• Monitor access points and vehicle flow, verifying identification and/or delivery documentation as directed, and maintaining accurate visitor, contractor, and driver logs.
• Observe cameras and other security-related systems when assigned, document unusual activity, and complete clear, timely reports and shift handoffs.
