About The Position

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Mobile Rounds in Olive Branch, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a tech-focused location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts and teammates, and provide customer service that reflects our agile, reliable, and innovative culture. You will deliver through teamwork and act with integrity every shift.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access guidelines, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout office, data and equipment areas, parking locations, and the perimeter, noting unusual activity and conditions that may help to deter unwanted behavior.
• Monitor entry points, visitor flow, and delivery activity in a technology-focused location, confirming credentials and directing individuals to the appropriate check-in or contact process.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, suspicious activity, medical calls, and/or facility issues, and notify site contacts and/or emergency services as required.
• Complete clear, timely reports and logs on patrol activity, incidents, and maintenance concerns, and communicate relevant updates during shift changes.
