As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents. You will support staff and visitors with strong customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting. Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, corridors, entrances, loading areas, and perimeter spaces, noting unusual conditions and reporting concerns per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Control access by verifying identification and/or authorization, assisting with visitor check-in directions, and monitoring restricted areas and sensitive workspaces per site requirements.
  • Complete patrol logs and incident reports, communicate shift activity during post transitions, and support security-related investigations by preserving observations and reporting details promptly.
